Welcome to Like Pike!

Hi everyone! With this blog, I hope to somewhat fill the void within the YA Lit blogosphere that is no Christopher Pike blogs!! I have a pretty solid collection of his books, plus some good sources, so I can take requests... if there are any.

So, about the blog. It isn't going to be all snarky and everything all the time. I do actually like these books, so I don't want to trash them all over town too much. But I don't want to fall into snarkless worship either. It will be tough. Sometimes I may do a post on something from another time/place/series as well.

Hope you enjoy the trip into your pre-teen/teenage memory! Leave comments if you wanna!

I am glad I found your blog. I used to love Christopher Pike books, even though they scared me when I was young! Slumber Party has got to be one of the best. Chain Letter scared me the most, and ever since then I have been scared of houses in the middle of nowhere (due to that one girl living in the only occupied house of the tract).

p.s. If you're wondering, I found your blog through a comment you left on the Fear Street blog.

I am so glad this blog exists! When I was getting to the later stages of my YA years, Fear Street and Stine were a little too tame and I moved onto the smutty sexy times and graphic violence of Christopher Pike's books!

The ones I remember most vividly were the Final Friends trilogy and the massively long Last Vampire series! I look forward to any of these being recapped!

Oh I Love You. I have been searching for Pike blogs all over the net and found you.
I'm so excited. I think I need to lay off the coffee.
Anyhoo, I'm looking forward to reading your blog. Thanks.

Thank goodness for this C.Pike blog! I've been a fan of his since grade school and I'm still a fan now. He's one of the authors that I will not discard no matter how old I get. I hope that you will eventually update with all of his books (except for the Spooksville series--haven't got those) because I'm interested in what others have to say about them too. :)

I, too, am so glad I found your blog. I've been having a good time reading past recaps. I have a rather decent collection of his books that I am so glad I hung on to.

I can't wait for you to recap Road to Nowhere, as that is his best one. It's incredibly different from his other books - so much so that I wondered about a ghostwriter when I re-read it a few months ago.

So, I found your blog in the most boring way you possibly can. By googling Christopher Pike. It did take me like 4 pages to find it though. That's persistence! I was wondering when you are going to be reviewing "See You Later"? That's my fave. Curious to see what you all thought of it. Made me bawl like a baby. BTW, this blogs is frickin' hilarious! Your "Google-y Searchable" link made me laugh out loud.

This is awesome! I used to be obsessed with Pike's books when I was younger, and will still pick one up now and again for a re-read. When I read your entries it makes me laugh out loud and it all rings very true... but hey, at least we were the kids reading these books instead of nancy drew.
